Radkey, The Barfly, Camden

The word on the street was not to miss God Damn when they support Radkey at the Camden Barfly.

So what do God Damn sound like? Grungey, punky with a slither of prog-ness is close but a million miles away at the same time. There is something down right honest about them though which makes them instantly likeable . They comprise of one guitarist & one drummer (who sports a natty line in dungarees - unhinged or practical?) its simple, stripped down and noisey.

I was not disappointed, the tip-off was bang on, their energy was infectious...just not sure about the dungarees.

Radkey

The final night of Radkey's UK tour, off the back of the first album - The set-list and performance were very similar to that at the Old Blue Last a few months ago so I won't go into too much detail.  The venue had changed from The Dome to the Camden Barfly head of this show, which is a shame as I have never been to the Dome - an old punk stronghold.
